The FAST® Power Rankings Presented by COMP Cams® USMTS/USRA Power Rankings
By: Sam Stoecklin
Cade Dillard rolled to his seventh USMTS win of the year and scored two other podium finishes over the weekend in USMTS action to easily hang on to the number one position for the ninth week  this season for this week's installment of the USMTS/USRA FAST® Power Rankings Presented by COMP Cams.

This year is shaping up to be a real showdown between Dillard and the rest of the drivers occupying this week's top five and could be one of the most memorable USMTS seasons to date. Zack VanderBeek inches into the number two spot this weekend after he also posted three USMTS podium finishes.

Just behind VanderBeek is Jason Hughes, hot off his 5th USMTS victory, which came at Upper Iowa Speedway. Ryan Gustin also scored a victory this weekend when the tour kicked off the weekend at Mississippi Thunder Speedway and moves up one spot to number four this week. Rounding out the top five is Stormy Scott, who dips three spots after three straight weeks in the number two rankings. Scott struggled in the first two USMTS wins of the weekend before rebounding with a top-five run in Decorah, Iowa.

The rest of the top ten is occupied by Johnny Scott in sixth and Ricky Thornton, Jr., in seventh as both drivers participated in the Minnesota Modified Nationals  but only Thornton managed a top-ten finish. R.C. Whitwell continued his recent USMTS rookie of the year success by scoring three more top-ten finishes to land in position eight this week. Mitch Keeter posted another win at Humboldt Speedway and sits in the ninth spot this week. Lucas Schott returns to the top ten after a solid fourth-place run at Mississippi Thunder Speedway when the USMTS invaded his home turf.

Other rankings highlights this week include Missouri's Matt Dotson, who re-enters the rankings in the number 12 spot this week thanks to 2nd and 1st-place finishes at Lucas Oil Speedway and his $3,000 victory at Central Missouri Speedway, his second-straight victory in that race. Jake Timm also re-enters the rankings this week after posting three top-ten USMTS finishes, which included two top-five runs!
Two other drivers also re-enter this week's top 20 as Travis Saurer rides in on the heels of two top-ten USMTS  weekend performances. Joe Duvall grabbed the opening night win at Lucas Oil Speedway during Modified support class action during the Show-Me 100 weekend and re-enters at number 19 this week.  Josh Angst, Terry Phillips, Zane DeVilbiss, and Bumper Jones just missed out this week and fall from the top 20.

Thirty-six drivers earned votes this week, down from last week at 38. Drivers not reaching the top 20 but gaining votes included: Dustin Sorensen, Johnny Philpot Jr., Kevin Blackburn, Terry Phillips, Josh Angst, Zane DeVilbiss, C.A. Nix, Ryan Middaugh, Travis Saurer, Travis Saurer, Tyler Wolff, Bumper Jones, Jason Cummins, Brian Williams, Kyle Prauner, and Triston Dycus.

With the tour taking some downtime next week, weekly racers will do their best to get the job done next week and our voters will be watching to see who comes out on top of the action to shake up the top 20 rankings, which return again next Wednesday morning.
